Kenwood ddx773bh how to play videos off a usb drive??

I got this radio and i want to play Videos from a usb thumb drive. I've tried converting it several different ways and every time it says "unsupported file"..Any help on doing this? Is there a specific setting the videos have to have in order to play? I've tried mpeg1 and 2 at 640x480 and 720x480 resolutions and nothing..
