Kenwood DDX6019 Installation

need some advice please....i have hooked up a ddx6019 in a dodge charger all the wires are connected expect the parking wire(does this just connect to the ground to bypass?) and reverse wire....Should this prevent the receiver from working, the power is on but there no is audio or video...Need advice please... thanks

You need to hook up the red power wire to another source, such as the power wire to the cigerette lighter. Dodge's now use a canbus, and when you hook everything up through a wireing harness, it will not come on. I had the same problem in my Dodge Caliber. I believe this is the case on any dodge after 2006. I also had a DDX6019 HU
