Are kenwood amps any good? I was looking at one to power my incoming 15'' L7.

Outside of that they seem to be okay.

I have no experience with it myself.....its manual states that it will only do 900w @ 1 Ohm....and many, many people have related experiences showing that the Opti line from Lanzar is the only one worth having.

Do NOT! I repeat DO NOT get that amplifier!I had the 9152D running at 2 ohms and that piece of shit would overheat and shut off on me every 2 mins. The amp is NOT one ohm stable.Do not buy this amplifier! Go spend $70 MORE and get a PA1800DB which is what i upgraded too and i am happy with it. DO NOT BUY ANY KENWOOD AMPLIFIERS FOR THEY ARE A PIECE OF S H I T !

I'm running a kenwood 2 channel amp and it's been quite stable for the past 2 years now. Not a single problem whatsoever. With my experiences, I'd say they are decent amps. Definitely not high end, but a good budget amp.

i also run kenwood amps daily, not alone in my car but in my girlfriends also, and if a kenwood amp can take the abuse a girl gives it, its good in my book n e day

I haven't run any of Kenwood's newer amps and those are the ones that seem to not be very worthwhile units, sadly.

My older ones (both eXcelon amps) take all the abuse I give 'em and keep on tickin', though!

i have kac 7202's, iv had one pop a fuse once and thats it, and it was my fault, i threw it a weird *** ohm set up lol, i hate wiring my box at 4 am, but over all kenwood amps are good, not the best but for what they cost there good

I dont know anything about other kenwood amps. Butfrom reviews ive read and personal experiences with the 9152D model. it certainly is a piece of shit!

I have had one for many years and it takes alot of abuse. I had one a few years ago and it wouldnt take 1 ohm but it would 2 or 4 just fine. Like jmac said they are decent but nothing special.

I have the Kenwood 9152D amp pushin my Kicker CVX15 Dual 4 ohm, and its take quite a beatin, it handled very well at a db drag, givin me a 143.7, thats without messin with the settings, and im puttin a kenwood 7201 4 channal amp in for the rest of my speakers to run off, like it was mentioned before, their not high end, but they do the job
