I just picked up one of these about 2 weeks ago. I haven't gotten it installed yet. I am running 2 DVC 4 ohm subs and was hoping to run them at 1 ohm. I've heard alot about Kenwood amps not being able to handle 1 ohm even though they claim they can. I'm just looking for someone with the newer model 9104 or 8104 that has run their amp at 1 ohm. Is it possible or should I try and find another amp before I install my system? Thanks in advance!

go with another amp bro...trust me...some kenwood amps just cant handle power or some just get HOT really quick...

If they say there 1ohm stable run there if it blows up send it back

X2...i had a kenwood amp like last 4 months ago and it didnt handle power...and it got WARM so freaking fast....sell that amp or return it and get your money back and get a real amp

Chit, that's not what I wanted to hear. I bought it on ebay. It's probably going to have to go back up on ebay. That *****! I think I've got to at least hook it up and try it first. I bought one of those Square Trade warranties. I don't know if those are worth anything or not.

i owned one, pretty solid amp IMO. There is better power out there for the money though, i bought mine for 189.00 about 8 months ago.

I bought a DB Drive SPA150.4 for my mids. I wouldn't mind finding a matching SPA1000D, SPA1300D or SPA1600D for my subs. But I've spent alot of money lately. Did you run it at 1ohm? I've heard they don't put out nearly what they say, but are they stable at 1?
