Kenwood 8401

What do you think of Kenwood amps? My application is simple...I like it loud....but not into car shaking bass really. Bought a pioneer 5500mp, rear speaks Kenwood 1679ie, frnt speaks currently stock but changing to MB Quartz, Kenwood multi-channel amp, dual 10" subs in enclosed box.

Will this amp do the trick? I have a thousand different opinions...quite frankly I am confused. I am a total newbie at this. I just want clean crisp sound and loud. I listen to mostly classic rock...so I like to hear the screeching guitar and some good drums.

What do you think of my setup? I dont have much money!!

Well......I have had everything installed and sounds **** fine. The 8401 is a decent amp...although not outright the most powerful but Kenwood is good stuff. The shop installed the amp as follows: 2 channels to the 10" JL subs (w subs in an enclosed box). and the other 2 channels to the front speaks (MB Quart). The bass is perfect and the highs are good. However, I feel like I am missing the full sound cuz the back speaks are almost non-existent...they are providing mids. So I bought a Kenwood 800w 2 channel amp. I am contemplating if I should go through the trouble of having this installed. Am i really going to gain that much more from my rear speaks (kenwood 1679ie)? Other than this...everything looks and sounds good.
