I got the kenwood kac-9104d. 900w rms, 1800w max @ 2ohms. And ive been looking for a cheaper 12" sub for it. I only want 1 12, because i still want to have a trunk. Ive narrowed to down to a couple: Boss lac129d, Boss n12dvc, or Power Acoustik p3-12w.

The power acoustik p3 is rated for 1300w rms and 2600w max. but ive seen reviews and people say that its overrated, and the real rms is around 900w. So i think it might be good. But how is the sound quality?

Then i was thinking if the power acoustik is overrated, then would the boss subs be overrated? The lac129d has an rms of 900 and max of 1800. which is the same as the amp. but if those specs are overrated and the sub cant handle that much and i risking blowing the sub? And how is the quality of boss?

And the other boss(n12dvc) can handle more wattage(1000w rms and 2000w max) but i find the color(purple) absolutely hideous.

im only looking to spend around $100. I just want a cheaper sub for now, since i already have amp, because it came with my car. Then i will probably buy one from my friend when he buys new ones.

You're never going to get 1800 watts max my friend. You'll realistically probably get around the 900w rms mark if you have 14.4 voltage. Never go by the max ratings of an amp.

ooh ok. thanks. but im looking to run at 2ohms. so id still like a sub that can handle more. but what does the fuse rating mean? sorry kinda new at this

Ive got another question. If i get this indash:http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113MP342U/Kenwood-KDC-MP342U.html?search=KDC-MP342&ssi=0&tp=5684&tab=review will i be able to control the volume of my subwoofer with it? Like will i be able to turn my sub almost completely off from it when i want to listen to music where i dont want as much bass?
