Kenetik Hc1800 vs Odyssey Pc1500

I am finally getting around to my battery and need to know which one would you pick?

it is going under the hood, eventually a 200a alt and an additional backup battery will be added to the trunk later.

This is the first step and need help deciding

You would need to step up to the 2000 to compare to the new Odyssey 1500...

**** That is a strong *** vote!!!!!! on a side note, if icould fit the hc2000 would it beat the 1500?

If its for a replacement battery and not being used as an additional battery I would still get the PC1500. It will hold up to under hood environment much better and the lifespan is going to be much greater. Pretty close in performance... with the extra terminals on the PC you'll probably still be ahead.

when i worked at kinetik they didnt get very many returns on bad product at all. the majority of those warranteed were 600 and 800 sized batteries being used as reserve batteries on systems over 4000 watts which isnt recomended but were warranteed anyway when i say this it was well under 1%. in fact there are 3 to 4 yr old hc power custom banks still taking home trophies.

I didnt intend for my comments to come across as saying the Kinetiks wont work, or do a great job. They will work just fine, it's just that the batt he is comparing to was designed specifically for under hood duty and has obvious attributes that make it a better choice in this application. he answered it in the correct way, becuase i do intend to get a smaller pc625 battery from odyssey and put near the load. and with the information you just told me , it would not be idea to place a hc600 there.

i know they both are good, but i needed more help deciding between the two, hell i was just gonna go by weight and call it a day cause specs for the kinetik aren't as clear as odyssey's specs
