Apparently the end caps are plastic. I don't have any anyways right now. If I get some I will look for somthing close to wetpaint them. I plan to flush mount the amps or something.

Yes I planned on using fans. I did my alpine mrdm1000 and it seemed fine. Even in the trunk of my car with some hot summer days at about 900wmrs, seemed ok.

Costs unknown. Check locally to see what it might run. If they don't have a color you want, buy it off ebay and ask if they can use it.

There is no clear on it, but it sure would make it look deep. I had to put on 2 coats of the chrome because the first coat didn't work out. Had I not had to either do the chrome, or do it twice I would have put some clear on it. You can only put on so much powder before it rejects staying on the product.

I did my amps that exact same color back when i used to powdercoat, but they were all kicker amps. Heat wont be much of a problem at all in a daily situation.
