Hey guys, i just sold my Alpine 9884 in favor of something different.
Right now im running a Cadence TXA-3004 4 channels to some components and a little type e 10" sub.
I was kind of disappointed at how little control I had over my subwoofer, other than that I loved it. Just looking to upgrade to a double-din unit.
Im torn between these two units. Im looking for something that works very well with non-pod USB devices like a zune or a USB flashdrive (8gb).
Also a nice eq curve and really good control over my sub is a plus.
A problem i had with the alpine is the controls were very basic; it had a subwoofer 0-15 and bass -7 to +7. The Subwoofer control didnt do as much as the bass function did to control the sub which I found rather backwards. Im looking to get really good sub control and the most volume out of it. The JVC has 5v pre-outs, not sure if its an accurate rating but im wondering if this will help with quality over the kenwood.
I read the kenwood only has 2 preouts, does the rear output have bad sub control due to being shared??
Also which one has better loading times for usb drives.
Any opinions of both would be greatly appreciated. Im sorry if you guys are sick of threads like this..i searched and didnt find any of these answers.
