JVC KD-HDR50 Frozen

My deck is stuck on AUX or CD w/ a soft reset. From what I've read I could pull the + on my car battery for 30 seconds and it could solve the problem. Just looking to see if anyone else has had this problem and had success w/ any solutions before I even try. Not a mechanic, not trying to be. Just want my stereo to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

reset your headunit, either on the faceplate (some models) or take out your radio fuse in the car for 5 min or disconnect the batt for a while. this may not fix the problem if it's a faulty or damaged deck.

so I did all of the above and no luck. if there was an educated guess on the matter. what would the guess be the problem is? the head unit or the deck? trying to keep this cost friendly.

wait what? the headunit and deck are the same thing.......... if you take the headunit out the car and wire the acc(red) and pwr(yellow) wire to the positive of the batt and the black earth wire to the neg of the batt, does the headunit still do this?

can you post pics of your wiring/setup?
