JVC KD-G230 and VW Jetta 97

I have a 97 jetta and hooked up a JVC KD-G230 head unit. It got hooked up last summer. Always worked. The speakers were going in or out so i took the head unit out to find that most of the wires were not connected well anymore. I reconnected the wires and now all that happens is the eject button turns it on for 3 seconds and the display shows the time for 3 seconds. No other power works. It saves the time so the yellow cord has power and the black ground wire has power as well. I believe it is in the ignition wire. The radio fuse i already replaced because it was blown. Also the fuse in the head unit is fine. What could be causing this?
