OK the AVX2 bass management is AFU. Basically there is no 5.1 DSP so what you get from the source material in any MULTI mode (Dolby digital, DTS, DVD-A) is what you get. So for 2.0 and 4.0 sources your sound is going to be without bass. Anyway I have solved somewhat with a mixer with the SUBOUT and the 4 channel output mix from my amp. Also, no 4.1 downmix of DVD-Audio however it does support 4.1 downmix of DTS. So for DVD-Audio a center channel is a must with this deck. I would love to complain about this deck (there are lots of little things that irritate me) but for the price you really can't beat it. The pioneer premier with full 5.1 DSP DVD-Audio takes an addition $1000 to get into.
