JVC KD-AR8500 SD card Question

What's the largest SD card this unit can handle? I know the manual and says 512mb but I read someone was using a 1gb with no problem. I was wanting to know what's the largest that can be used? Thanks

I would just buy a few different sizes and test them out. They are dirt cheap these days.
