JVC head units?

I wanna buy a jvc g-720 but it seems like no one has experiance with it.. Are jvc head unites good in general? I need a head unit for my system which is rl-p 15" w/ 1600wat hifonics amp and 130 wat cdt componets in the front w/ an un choosen amp yet... I need ipod and dont wanna pay the $50 for the ipod interface and the jvc seems to be the cheapest for the most featurs is there anything wrong with jvcs?

The JVC KDG-720 has a USB port to interface with a USB thumb drive to play MP3s and WMA files. It cannot, however, play an Ipod. The Ipod's menu system is unreadable by the JVC.
