ok i just got 2 13" w7 and i dont want to go to my dealer and look stupid, because i dont no what it is called when up are installing a sub and the back of the sub is sticking out and the front u cant see, what is that called?

its called inverting the sub

They would've had to mount the sub to a baffle then flip it over and mount it.

yep. sub screwed to baffle= baffle screwed to back of box= back of box scewed in enclosure.

Its said that since there isnt as much exposed cone area when a sub is inverted that it wont be quite as loud but the difference is only like a half a decibel...you probably wont even notice it.

Also, in the same box, an inverted sub will be in a larger enclosure, because the motor assembly isn't taking up volume inside the box.
