just tested my hc2000, is this alright?

i know my kinetic hc2000 has got some age on it now, so i replaced it with a Duracell g31...after having my kinetic out of my ride for about 2 days i decided to check it out...it was sitting at 12.78v and after putting a 200amp load it held at 8.5 volts...it is any good?

charge it, what does it sit at once charged? and how long does it take to drop to 8.5

i charged it earlier today..never got a chance to put a load on it though..i will tomorrow, but it did drop to 8.5 pretty fast...i held the 200a load for about 10 seconds and it stayed around 8.5-9volts

sounds like it's gone/or on the way out...... do you have a battery specialist store near you, they'll be able to check it properly

well i work at a car shop, and we test batteries/ alternators with this machine so i figured it would give me an idea if this battery was any good or not...i bought it used last year, and the guy said he had it for a couple of years...so i was surprised it held voltage as good as it did

Tis prob dropped a cell, but is only eviedent once put under a decent load (had one of my orbital batts do this) it was reading 13.4 until you put a decent load on it and it would drop straight away to around 7v
