Well I spend about 4 hours last night taping area off and sealing up holes to fill it with expanding foam... Kinda worked, kinda didnt. Wasnt really meant to fill big gaps, just tiny little cracks and small spaces. Oh well, Ill give it a week to fully cure/harden before I take the tape off this time. I started taking other pieces of tape off and it would expand out. Guess I put too much in some places and it didnt have any air or room to expand to.
So far, Ive used 10 cans of Great Stuff, a roll of carpet tape, a roll of packing tape, and a roll of painters tape. I know its ghetto to use 3 kinds, but its what I had at my house. Going to get some more painters tape along with about 5-6 more cans of foam tomorrow and work some more... As theres still quite a bit of places I havent done yet.
Spend about 5 hours today taping places off and then about 2 hours filling them with foam. Shouldnt take so long, but alot of the braces are 2-3" away from the sheet metal they need to be against, so I have to pretty much build walls with tape to fill the brace entirely so that the foam is pushing up against the side of the car and the brace at the same time. Its a pain in the ***.
Anyways, Ill update this as more stuff gets done. When the box build starts, I might make a log if I decide to take any pictures.
