asthma attacks of my life

woke up out of a sleep, coughing and bam, just like that my lungs closed. grabbed my inhaler and took 3 quick hits before they fully closed, but thats not instant anyway

the attack lasted a good 2 minutes and if anyone has bad ashtma you know that is forever not being able to breathe. the scariest part is knowing that if you cant stay awake you will die because if you pass out your body wont be able to force enough air into your lungs. i managed to get to the house phone, dial 911 and keep my finger on dial just in case

i have had asthma all my life and i can not recall an attack that bad before. i was probably 30 seconds(at most) from passing out and dying from lack of oxygen

now i have a headache from od'ing on my inhaler to get my lungs open and i am still sweaty from the ordeal. what a horrible way to start the day

sounds like you have it pretty bad. my g/f will get bad ones from time to time. apparently one time when it was really cold she got one and couldnt find her inhaler and almost became unconscious. now everytime she has one, it scares the living shit outta me

yeah there are numerous types of asthma, unfortunately i got the bad one that isnt sports or activity induced and i will never outgrow

no, i took a leak and calmed down for a few minutes.

i have so much energy now cause of all the inhaler hits i took i cant get back to sleep until i crash, so i thought i would post about my ordeal

im gonna go let my dog out now, she freaks out when i act like that as well
