Just got a ticket for my subs

I just got pulled over coming home from school because my subs were blasting, i have been driving the same direction for like the past month and i guess a lot of neighbors are pissed about my subs because the cop told me they have recieved numerous complaints about my loud music. I was stopping at a stop sign and there was this van behind me, and behind the van there was a cop, so the van turned right at the stop sign and i made sure i made a complete stop so he doesnt get me for that, then he was behind me and i knew not to turn my music up so i see the lights flashing and im thinking "****" cuz i got limo tints all around (the cop was cool he said "your lucky i dont write u up for the tints too"), so he came up and told me why he pulled me over, he kept my license and gave me a ticket, i have to appear in court for it, so i am driving on the ticket now, anyone know what the penalties i am facing for this are? is it just a simple fine? and when do i get my license back?

the violation on the ticket said "illegal operation of sound amplification system"

I've never heard of a cop taking away your license in exchange for a ticket.

i got pulled over and it was a $70 non moving violation which means no points on ur license...thats what it should have been...must be very harsh about that where you live...ill never forget when i told the cop what i had and he said oh well i wont give you a ticket if you pop the trunk lol..i love young cops:
