Anyone ever get one of these? It said I have to mail it within 20 days and it's been like 24. Can they do anything?

In IL you can fill it out online, technically I think they can arrest you for not filling it out, but they probably wouldnt bother with the paper work.

Is that like jury duty? If it is, I've skipped out twice. I pay my taxes, other than that leave me the **** alone.

I've gotten a few over the years, last year I got a jury summons because I never replied to them, just gave them my full-time student info and they let me be.

No one cares about civic duty at the most basic level???

At least with JD you might be lucky enough to be sequestered and get a free hotel for a few nights and free food..... Just for doing your duty...

i got one of those like a week after I turned 18, got a summons for jury selection about a year later....

both people settled out of court after we all got there so we got to just leave

EDIT: I tried to full time student thing and they were just like... work or school is not a valid excuse...

I was like yea but you get paid to go to work... I don't get paid to go to school I have to pay for that shit... you're making me miss class time that I paid for
