Job Interview....what to wear?

since it's a legal firm a business suit is needed. use colors like black, gray, or navy. dark brown or black dress shoes, dress socks, belt, neutral tie etc. also a briefcase or something of the sort would be good. you want to bring a couple copies of your resume preferably printed on nice paper and take a pad with a pen and take notes during the interview

This is by far the best advice you've gotten on this thread. You asked the question and this is your answer. I'd go with it. The rest of the guys are just showing their age and maturity level. No offense guys...I know you're just trying to be humorous. Well, I guess as long as you don't get into an accident you could technically wear the thong and no one would know. Your choice but please don't tell us about it. Bad image. Good luck with the job interview.

I agree. My dad's a lawyer and suit/tie is the standard. For a first interview it depends on what image you're trying to create. If you are going for sophisticated, you might want to go with black/dark suit and a bright shirt. Classy would be a nice dark suit with perhaps a blue shirt with French cuffs. If you are going for the good-ole boy look, perhaps a lighter brown/tan suit maybe?

A suit would be best in any case.

At the very minimum you need slacks and a blazer/sport jacket.
