I'm looking for an 8" or smaller sub to trade for my JL 10". Looking for a sub with cone material other than paper. Its going on an ICE COOLER setup I'm building and the JL is to big.
In central Texas "tubing" the local rivers is very popular and a keg plus tunes are a must. Plus one can use this set up at the beach, camping or mudding without any worry.
This is the inside of the cooler, I have the RF to power my sub, a set of MB Quart QM100 4" mids w/ 1" tweeters,I need to mount the left one, and an Alpine CD deck w/ changer. I'm contemplating on adding a DVD player w/screen.
The outside, still needs work, the deck will power the separates.
The sub I'm looking for will go on the opposite side of he wheels below the mids.
What you think? Its somewhat water proof and durable, I still need to buy a battery small enough to fit but big enough to run for several hours between charging. Its louder than any consumer bought portable system plus its a DIY.
I'm not done knuckle head! But your right, even when I am done it will only be water resistant. I do low voltage electronics and its an inter-office joke at work between the difference of water proof and water resistant. Water proof = can be submerged in water, water resistant = splash proof.
I know this post is old, but that is funny!!!!
