JL12W7's OWNERS- how much amp?

The next system I plan on putting in is into my 1996 M3. I am going to be going with 2 JL12W7's for bass i believe. With this said, what amp should i be looking to purchase for these 2 powerful subs? I notice that Jl has the 1000/1 amp, is one of these enough to power 2 JL12w7's in optimum power range? I dont want to throw down the cash for such a nice pair of subs, and then get an amp that is sub par to power them. Give about 1000 watts per sub in sealed enclosures. Yep, that HU will do fine.
