Originally posted by nswartley i think rangerman or steve said something about the W7 and it taking over 1000 watts...he said at over that power, the w7's suspension system just sets it apart from all other subwoofers...but under that power, its not better than the brahma. personally i would save myself over 100 bucks and get the brahma 10 and build my own box.

and about that stealth box...its decent, better than most pre-fab boxes. i heard a 10 in one and it hit pretty hard and sounded ok...but it did bottom out a lil bit easy...
Twas me, not RM or Steve. Linearity is its strength.

Ok so either the W7 or Brahma. Now, does anybody know of any good audio websites to buy from?

Please list them...

Unless you have a finely tuned ear and are going to enter competitions for pure high fidelity price-no-object, then I would get the Brahma. Better value, more versatile as far as installations are concerned (mounting depth, box size, etc).

I can help you with the Brahma's.

As for the rest -- it's of my opinion that personal taste dictates the remainder.

I have heard the 12w7 in a 1.85 cubic foot sealed box, with a JL 1000/1 on it. (there was a pair of them.)

It sounded simply amazing in it's accuracy, and was very accurate and dynamic. I'd be proud to say I owned one, without a doubt.

I can also say the same thing about the Brahma, so in my opinion, it boils down to asthetics, and space. (Brahma requires smaller enclosures to achieve the same response.)

from the many set ups and competiton cars I have seen and heard, their reliability and out put is not where it should be, great sub, but over ratted from my experence, keep in mind I have not owned one, I have just seen a ton and after all the hype and all the B.S. it does not live up to it

i have a W7... its pricy but think about ebaying it for cheap. i got mine off my friend with amp and wires for 500. im lucky. it is def worth the price, the lows are crazy nice. make sure it is powered enough and it will be perfect. also the box must b perfect or else it sounds liek crap. i am porting mine (its sealed righ tnow)... any suggestions??
