JL Bashing

I get so sick of JL bashing on this site. JL is a top quality brand. Yes, they are expensive but if you do your home work and shop around you can get a great value for the money you spend.

I think the reason JL gets so much hate on this forum is becasue they are successful. Why do people hate success. Everyone needs to keep in mind how long it has taken JL to get where they are. Do you think this just happened over niight and was a fluke. NO, it took a tremendous dollar investment in both R&D and advertising. How do you think this get's paid for.

I cannot stand ignorant people who run their mouths without know a thing.

If you don't have anything positive to say then shut the **** up. I have had plently of experience with their products over the last couple years and would be very happy with any system based on any of their lines.

Stop the JL hate.

You need to look at the run of the mill, ca.com member. They want "mad deebeez yo" so they can blast their chopped and screwed, commercial rap (cRap for short). Ess Que is the last thing on someone's mind when they want to break 150 on the Term Lab and JL will cost WAY too much to get them there.

JL is probably the best ever. W7 is so good they will never need to update it. They are the GM of car audio. Pocket all the profits, and never reinvest in new products.

When it comes to speakers, they were innovative in the 90s. Sadly, those engineers are long gone and JL is still riding the wave of their success.

I had a 300/2 amp sent to JL to be "refurbished back to JL factory conditions". The amp failed 3X times. Even had to have it professionally installed the 2nd and 3rd time. 3rd time was a ***** to get it replaced under warranty they sent me B-stock and told me I have no more warranty. Sold the piece of junk and haven't been happier leaving JL audio. There's a lot better out there.

il agree that they are overpriced. but what big box brand isnt? lol i get the rich kids that have their parents buy everything from the local JL dealer coming to me to get boxes built and to my suprise, some of them are acually prety loud. 2 12w6v2's on a GMAX was doing like a 144 and some change in a mustang trunk at like 35 hz. i thought that was decent. the customer thought that that was the best $1600 he ever spent on equipment LMAO

When it came time to meter, hardly any of them got on the meter, and the ones that did, brought no trophies home. But I realize that people that buy JL don't do it for SPL.
