I want to buy this JL8W7 for a friends setup, anyway the guy says for $100 it works great but has some small scuff marks.

does the frame looked cracked on the top or is this just me?

scuff is fine as long as it dosent go all the way thru and the basket isnt cracked. its the ring that holds the surround down

That's what they look like.. The scuff should have no effect either.

i would check the coils with a dmm and make sure they dont read anything crazy.

use a dmm to test the coil, shoud be near 3.3ohms and make shure it has the small hold-down ring. it would be underneath that snap ring.

Just like everyone said the crack is supose to be there. If I had the chance to get another for $100 I would probobly buy it. Not a big fan of most JL that I have had but 2 of those 8's in a regular cab dodge was cool.
