I thought I read somewhere they charge $75 to re-serialize, but I've also heard they won't work on unserialized. I'm too lazy to call them.

Dunno what this has to do with anything.

The sub works perfectly fine. If you don't mind how it looks, you're saving $150+ on it. If you don't like the price, don't buy it.
