I think pricing could be included in that debate.

I myself would chose Alpine over JL just for the fact that their products are very good and reasonably priced.

I'll have to agree with him here. I was looking at getting 2x12" W6 but in the end went with 2x12" Type Rs. MUCH cheaper, and just as good IMO.
