JL 10w0 or 10w1

Hi everyone, I am limited on mounting depth in my truck and need my subs to be under 5in mounting depth. The box I ordered is 2.05cu ft ported for 2 10s. Would the 10w0($80) or 10w1($100) be better? Can't have a lot of excursion either because it will be under my back seat. Other options are appreciated as well. Thanks!

How much power are you giving them? (what amp) and at what ohm load? oh and welcome to CA.com.. you're a local!

Not sure if you're interested in other brands or not... but you can get a lot more power/better subs for the money if you're interested. I love JL, don't get me wrong but if you're working with a budget, better can be had for the money.

i agree ↑↑↑, better for the money can be had... but if your focused on jl, rule of thumb the higher the w number the better the sub, in your case w1...

I'm up for other options as well as long as it meets my criteria of under 5in mounting depth and not to much excursion because the subs will be close to the bottom of my seat. The 10w0's are $80 each and the 500/1 amp is $200. The box I have is fox acoustics tundra double cab 07-up. From what Ive read for the price a entry level sub with small mounting depth would be better than thin line subs.

The brands my local dealer has (and said he would get me cost for) are Alpine, Pheonix Gold, JBL, MTX, Powerbass, and Pioneer. Let me know what Sub/Amp you would recommend instead. Thanks!
