that sucks bro, once I download music I always move it to another folder so programs cant change the music, or I send it to my usb thumb drive.
i was thinking of gettin an ipod, but Im leary of the itunes software, Ive used it before and wasnt impressed with it, I have an mp3 player now but I wanted the ipod so I could sync it up with my Alpine headunit and play my downloaded songs in my truck, but Im still unsure of the the ipod stuff, and seeing this thread doesnt help either

i do it with mine..works great. very happy with it, sounds awesome.

i hate itunes tho

thats why i got a zune now instead of ipods. you can put your songs back on though. use this it shows you how real easy. http://www.lifehacker.com/software/ipod/how-to-copy-songs-from-your-ipod-to-your-pc-105256.php I did that a few times

yea

well download a program to put them back on your computer. i uploaded my entire ipod with 2000+ songs from one computer to the other. can't remember the software i used, but they all loaded back up.

that sucks man i know how it is... my hard dive in my computer took a dump last year and i lost 8k songs and lots of pictures/documents... pretty much everything...

i still dont back anything up... guess i should start

i actually haven't had any problems with itunes. My 37 gigs of music has been intact even when i switched PCs.
