Goob.... i commend you, you've taken the steps NEEDED to attain a better more welcoming atmosphere here.... it'll be a long road no doubt but after a while the rules will be cemented into general forum use & you'll all be able to turn your attention back to car audio.

Thank you d2k. I know you weren't condemning the other mods who have been doing it longer, but I just want to say for the people here who might take your comment that way... I can see how it would be easy to let the attitudes of some members here drag a moderator's patience down after a while. I think Mike is a fair guy, always have, even back when he and I use to butt heads. And I have always thought a lot of denim and ramos, great people. Im not saying their patience has worn thin, Im just saying if it HAS worn some, I can see how that would happen even to good, patient, people. I think its only fair to assume they deserve the same treatment most all of us expect.... treat them with respect, and you'll get it in return. I haven't been a mod as long as them (obviously), so i cant say I know how they feel. But I can say they have all earned my respect over the years, and I'll tell you, Im a pretty discriminating guy when it comes to respecting people. I think between them, and the other new mod Bob, we have a good group here. I have no doubt if someone were to PM any of them with an issue, comment, or opinion, they would go out of their way to help.

Again, thanks d2k. And for anyone who might not feel the same, again... everyone here deserves common courtesy and respect.... the mods, the admin, and other members. If anyone here feels they dont get those things, perhaps you should look to yourselves for the answer. I do not direct that at anyone specifically, or even suggest my general feeling on the average member here is negative (quite the contrary). I just think it helps to remind people that we are all just people behind our screen names.

If you do not like the owners rules.......go somewhere else. Or do what I do....dont post if you dont like the topic and move to another thread.

I myself do not mind any words. I find if funny that if I "being white" say the N word, it is OMG WTF. But black people say it like its a play word.....never understood that.

But I just shrug it off and say whatever. I think its pretty hypicrite for them too do that, but whatever.....

The bottom line is Goob is here to run a web site that makes him money. You get fools in here, some of his investers/advertisers might choose to jump and go.

I can totally understand why he has put limitations on certain things. Not that I always like them, but I can respect them.

All threads are required to have a happy ending (as not so the that the mods have to take the effort to ban anyone or delete a thread). There will be no tolerance for free thought or speech, no apathy for indignation, and only rewards for going along with the grain.

If he means 'trolling a newb' in the tech sections or classifieds, that would be correct. The trolling is being limited to the t-dome, its nothing but counter productive everywhere else. Its counter productive ITT too, but so is everything else here.
