It's just not fair

slowmasters are some of the most restrictive and annoying sounding exhausts there are. some people like the tone. anyone who knows their engines (and i GD GUARANTEE anyone attending UTI does) shys away from flows. i run hooker personally.

say one more negative thing about firebirds, (i drive a ws-6) and thats the end of you.

david, how do you like the uti program? which one are you in? im planning on moving to houston and going there as soon as (read, if i ever) finish paying off my car.

The end of me? SNAPS

f-birds are shit though, seriously, all you need to do now is put your blowmaster catback on there and youll bet set

hooker is better then flowmaster, but not all that much, none are really "custom" made for different applications, just the same thing going on every different car, they are fitted for different setups, but they use the same muffler for the 6s and 8s

if you want a real catback look into borla, or gmmg

Why not slp loudmouth? They are the least restrictive of all the exhaust systems.. If I ownd a ls1 or mustang, SLP would be my company.

loudmouths sound nice on ls-1's, but raspy and IMO kind of crappy on older small blocks.

satan i dont really understand you post. the whole end of you think was a joke. borla and gmmg are awesome, but stupid expensive, more than twice what my hooker was, and the hooker sounds nasty. i can set off car alarms at idle, and its a lot more mellow and smooth sounding than the flowmaster that was on it when i got the car. what i dont get is the f-bodys are shit, but the flowmaster on and your set thing. and about all mufflers being the same. almost all name brand mufflers have distinctive designs for their mufflers.

perhaps a more intelligent post from you would have been to criticize the way the stock exhaust on f-bodys uses a y-pipe into a single pipe to the muffler, then back into 2 pipes simply for looks, which is lame.

Wow, so many things went wrong in this post i dont even know where to start... aparently you didnt even read my last post, you were just to quik to jump on my balls again...

Sorry, but your shit-bird is an f-body, and pretty much none of them, poneys, camaros, and shit-birds are running a TRUE dual, that is stock, except the real old camaros z's, but there you have me wrong again... i have a true dual on my 92 and my 76 drag camaro. But then again they both have no cats, and are running dumps, so they arnt even in the same boat as "restrictive" they have nothing there to restrict them...

As for setting off car alarms, people must have really sesensitive car alarms where you live....

As for ALL mufflers being the same, i didnt say that, i was implying all FLOWMASTER mufflers were made the same, except for the mounting applications, they claim they use different "technology" for different sounds, (street, performance, etc) but they are all the same... witch is shit

Borla may be $700 but you get what you pay for, theres a reason slp, flowmaster, etc are $200 for a full catback, they dont have a million mile warrenty, welds arnt as nice, if you were to ever actually buy a catback from gmmg or borla, youd notice there is no creases in the bends, no wrinkles, witch causes restriction, that im positive is there with slp, flowmaster, etc

I never said f-bodys are shit, and infact i dnt even think shit birds are shit, i just dont like them, they are both made by gm so it isnt even anything to do with competition or one being better, i just dont like the way they look and i feel they should have just stuck with the camaro concept, it did come first, and it does look better... mustangs are a different story though

what are you running under the hood of your 92 rs? that sure is odd that yours came stock with true duals since there were ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NO 3rd generation f bodys that had dual pipes to the rear from the factory, only dual cats into single pipe.

slp catbacks are not 200 dollars, they're more like 500. they sound, flow, look, and are built better than flowmasters. my hooker is mandrel bent, as is every slp or flowmaster catback that i'm aware of. i'll agree a borla would sound nicer on my car, but enough to warrant paying over twice as much as i did on my hooker? no.

my "shit-bird" packs over 400 horsepower at the wheels, plus a 150 shot of nitrous. it runs bottom 11's and will likely break 10's this season, while being daily driven. the alarms dont have to be sensitive with a lopey cam, healthy intake, long tubes, and 3 inch exhaust.

i was talking about the f-body in general, not the motorflowmaster ftl by the way
WS6 isn't a motor. It is an option package that includes a Ram air hood and suspension upgrade //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif (I know what you were driving at, just busting your balls)

I agree on the slowmasters FTL, but I do want some loudmouths for my goat.

yeah well i have a 91 rs with a ls1 t56 conversion and a 99 ss rear end 3.42 posi try doing that swap. o yeah and slp has no creases in the bends i have the exhaust on my car and also no welds so i dont no where you can even compare blowmaster and slp. w s6 isnta a fire bird it a ***** am!

PICS!!!111!1!1!!1!

please

actually its a fairly straightforward swap if you know cars. used to be tough, but now you can buy kits from a few places with the custom driveshaft, crossmember, and everything else you need for the ls-1/t-56 conversion.

now if you did all that yourself, i'm impressed. either way, lets see some pics, sounds nice, love those 3rd gen ls-1 sleepers. wakes right up when you get on the throttle huh?
