So what have you guys spent on yur beds. Kind, size ect. Pillow top, memory foam or just the regular creaky sob.

I got a Simmons Beauty Rest, best damn bed around if you ask me! I looked at every bed out there and decided to go with this. Originally I didnt want to spend that much but I figure you spend about 1/3rd of your life in bed and for how long i'll have the bed its really not that much. The thing I like about the bed I got is rather then having a 30 big coils all tied together this bed has like 700 small springs that are not connected to each other so they form to your body and since they are not tied together you cant feel the wife moving around. Plus the nice pillow top tops it off...

You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to buying a bed. and as @rdlyn13000 ; stated, you spend about 30% of your life in bed, so make it a comfy 30% haha

I looked at an entry level serta pillowtop yesterday and I could feel the cheapness in the spring section but I liked the way it felt. I'm noticing the majority of beds are really soft. Not a whole lota firms out there. The firm pillowtop felt like a "normal" bed to me. All the rest I sink into, which isn't a bad thing, i'm just not used to it.

I had a custom made bed done in Malaysia when I lived there. Thing is huge. Had to build a smaller adaptor for a California king mattress to fit. As firm as mattresses can get.

Check sears outlet, they have really good bed for very low price and they are not used

I have a simmons double euro top queen from a few years back, great bed cause with a standard pillow top no flipping, if i rotate this thing once every 2 months it still feels like new, I'm interested to see what you go with come November when i get married the parents are buying me a new bedroom set of my choice so I will be in your boat mattress shopping

I'm pretty sure our budgets will be different though. I'm buying it for just for myself atm, I would stick with the cheapy but i'm trying not to be a jew about this purchase.. As of now it will still be a pillow top but just the next tier up. Prob a "$850-950" set that I can get for 700-750.

Markup on beds is stupid high. Their are also plenty of bed joints around me so its pretty competitive.

A couple years ago I bought a high quality memory foam topper (4 inch I believe).. I can hardly sleep without it now.

Just use any old mattress, throw on a memory foam topper and you're good

Itches like it hard !!! You ain't know! I grabbed a generic brand memory foam still was 600 but hated it for the first week then just fell in love with it it's weird but does make a big difference sleep wise I hardly ever wake up anymore
