issues with eclipse ipod adapter

so ive had my cd5000 for forever, and i have always had this problem with my 40 gig ipod photo.

it will let me browse my songs, playlists, genres, everything except through artist. so if i want a specific artist i have to unplug the ipod, start playing the song on the ipod then plug it back in. so its kinda rigged.

but it works with other ipods, just not mine. but my ipod works fine with everything else...

anyone experience this?

have you tried updating the ipod to whatever the newest firmware is?

Do a master reset on the iPod and redo the firmware update, the face that it works with other ipods tells me that its not the cable and is your ipod. Also, clean the connector on the bottom of your iPod, i've had problems with dirt and stuff in mine.
