Now how does that relate to subwoofers?

So does it means that the woofers are facing each other???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
I don't know much about how to set up isobaric, but I do know that the subs are mounted together and that it requires less box volume.

It's a type of enclosure where there is a closed chamber that both subs are attached too. The pressure inside is isobaric, or, a constant pressure. Therefore when one sub pushes into the chamber, the other sub pushes away from the chamber. The volume (and, thus, the pressure) remain the same.

If SPL is your goal, isobaric is worhless. If you want to use a particular sub but don't have the space for the proper box, but have the money to buy two the driver and the power to run two subs, you can use an isobaric setup to fit the the equivelent osf a single of the sub into half the normally required airspace. With a lot of subs these days, it isn't worth the tradeoff becuase they don't require large enclosures to begin with and are already inefficient. Going from a 1 cf box to a .5 cf box with twice the cost and half the efficiency is not a very good trade. Back in the day, though, subs typically used much bigger boxes and were much more efficient. Going from 3 cf and needing 300W to 1.5 cf needing 600W and twice the cost was considered a very fair trade. 3cf might not fit, but 1.5 cf probably would.
