Jensen was recently bought out by Pioneer. This is just a Pioneer unit with a jensen logo on it.

Did Pioneer buy Jensen, or are their units made in the same build houses by any chance in hell?

No. Pioneer is Pioneer, Jensen is now owned by Audiovox.

Now, Dual (the Best Buy stuff) is owned by Namsung, an Asian buildhouse who as Jensen started going under (Recoton Corp) they started there own brand and went to Best Buy where they had a relationship. Than Audiovox bought Jensen and has brought them back from the grave.

So those are connections, Pioneer and Jensen aren't really as far as ownership.
