I went to my local car audio shop today and they carry JL, alpine....ect. and i had gone in there just for an alpine hu but this guy tried to sell me on 2 12' JL W6v2 on a JL1000. Now i know jl is great in all but he basically shot down my idea of getting 2 12' D9's on 2 d61000's and said that the w6v2's would kill the diamonds and alpine type x's. Do yall think that he was just trying to make a sales pitch or is this true?

i havent heard the D9's but i have heard other diamond stuff, and im going to say that he was just trying to make a sale because 2 w6's and a jl1000 is a lot of loot

d9 would slaughter the w6 in a heartbeat in spl the sq is decent for a big woofer not as good as w6 but overall id take the d9

He was getting compensated that month for pushing JL. Garaunteed. I personally would choose the Diamond equipment over the JL based purely on warranty. The D61000.1 come with a lifetime warranty and the subs 3 year. I also was faced with the same decision, except they were pushing the W7's for several hundred more per sub as well as several hundred more per amp. It just didn't compute for me. I am however very happy with the D61500.1 on the 2 TDX 12"s I bought. 11months later still getting beat on everyday without any issues.
