I bought this Pioneer HU for my sister in 2005 to run her stock speakers, she used it for maybe a yr. and the car died I pulled it out and it has been in my closet since.

So I am getting a work beater and thought about some PG RSD 6 1/2 comps or some CDT CL62 comps a small sub and a couple of amps to run them. I see this deck is only 2.2 volt pre outs. Am I going to be disapointed in this HU? The reviews say the SQ is good, I hate to see it collecting dust. I would also utilize the Sirius as well. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
I just noticed in the specs there is no preout for a sub just a 4 channel preout does this mean I cannot run a sub?
I found this quote but do not understand it???
Two pairs of phono-jacks are subwoofer line-level outputs and pre-amp outputs. Alternatively, you can configure the internal amplifiers for the rear speakers to drive subwoofers directly instead of rear speakers, avoiding the need for subwoofer amplifiers
