Just need a quick answer on this deal. Hoping to finalize it today if it's good.

So, let me know if the setup is good, and if the price seems about right.

Here's what the offer is(everything here is used):

Two JL Audio 10W1v2

A 34x7x12 Vinyl Enclosure(good dimensions?)

^Those are the actual subs in the enclosure.

And then he gave me a choice of either a Phoenix Gold 600 watt Class D amp or a Sony Xplode 1000 watt amp. No specifics on these, but I can get them if needed.

I only think it's a good deal if the amp is the PG Xenon 600.1. If it's the octane amp, I would pass on the deal. You can get the octane amps for about $120 and the subs you can get for about $150 (pair) all of which would be new. The enclosure is really nothing special to me and I would rather have something that was built for me than have some other random.

If it's the Xenon 600.1, then yes, I would think it was a pretty good deal as it's a solid amp. If not, I would pass.

so amp,subs,box?
Right.

Not a bad deal at all really.
If it's everything together.

nG
Yea, all together for $250.

first off i wouldn't buy those subs used for 250.
second off if the amp he has is a xenon 600.1 then they are good lil amps. and do more like 800 @ 1 ohm

EDIT: if it comes with an amp and a box for it nvm...

reading>me today
Hah, everyone does that at some point, lmao.

But I'll see if that's the amp before I buy it.

Oh, and GET the PG Amp... NOT the sony.
nG
Will do man.

So, the 600 watt PG will put out enough wattage for both 10's, right? Just making positive.

And BTW, this is all getting hooked to a stock HU and speakers Mach 460 system in my '01 Mustang.

Okay, I'll call him in a lil and see.

So, this would be all I have towards my car stereo as of now if I purchase it.

What else do I need? Wires, yea. A capacitor? How necessary is that for this setup?

Yea, doing it myself...with little to no knowledge.

But it can't be that hard....can it?

If I can't figure it out, I'll probably just have my friend do it. Which would mean driving like an hour away... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

But it's my car...I don't have any options... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

What would I need to simply add subs to my car. That's the only thing I'm doing.

just be ready for a long weekend if you want to do it, the LOC has to be put in before the amps, so you'll have to get in behind the headunit and hook it into one of those wires (i think), but i dont know which ones you can use, you'll have to find a diagram...

can you not afford a shop to do it?
