yea i probly was expecting to much from it.. this was a few years ago.. dont know how the new ones sound.. but i had it in a abc box, it sounded good, but didnt get too loud

Is the RE line any good? They are pretty cheap. Would they compare to a W0 or W1 JL, or infinity reference, or ED K series? I noticed they don't handle much power.

personally from hearing 2 12" SE's ported vs 2 12" type r's ported 2 days ago i can say that both were about equally as loud, and i thought the SE sounded better. both were in boxes built to the subs specs. as another side note to that, i would bet my left nut the build quality on the SE's is better than that of the type R's, and unless you go with no warranty off ebay for the type R, the SE should be around the same price/cheaper than a type R
