is power acoustik worth the money for there equipment?

Monte...I know you have to have some kind of electrical upgrade to power that kind of amp. I am thinking about purchasing that amp from Lightbeing and I want to know what I will need to be able to power that amp and not kill my battery.
you will need high output alternator and do the big 3 wire upgrade.

Big 3 definitely, which isn't a big deal, it's something you can do yourself.

Chances are you will need a HO Alternator but the only true way to tell is get everything hooked up first and test it to see if your getting voltage drops. If it's significant, then a HO Alternator would be a must.

ehehhe, i am sure with his 2 MOFO15's he's well above the 140's. Plus he said that his area got the new term lab mic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My area got the new termlab? there is none around here. I did about a 148 on a linear x mic. That was before my new box and h.o. alt.

That's really good with a tuning frequency of 35 Hz. I am going to be doing a comp setup with (2) MOFO 15's and (2) A3000Db's strapped together. I am thinking that I will probably tune right around 47-50 Hz.

Sounds like a killler setup that you are going to be going with. i want to make a nice port plug to do 48 hz. But i am feeling really lazy when it comes to doing stuff on my car right now cause i have done alot lately. let me know how it goes. And personally i think you would be better of not straping the 3000's

Why do you say I would be better off not strapping the 3000's? Have you experienced any problems doing that? I am definitely interested in getting your take on this matter.

I have not experienced any probelms with doing it. i just think there is more hassle involved. Because 1 you can run the amps at a lower ohm load. when they are starpped you should only run them at 2 ohms. Even though technically each amp is still running at one ohm. Either way you are going to get the same amount of power weather you strap them or not. But i just think (personal opinion) that they run much better not strapped. i mean they will work great both ways. I just seen it eaier for wiring purposes to not have them strapped. But if you want to they will still work awesome for you. Just personal preference is all it boils down to.

What are the actual power ratings of that "3000W" amp? No offense to anyone, but 3000W for $300????

You are welcome to believe whatever you like, but my signature says it all. I was extremely skeptical myself until I bought one of them and now I can't say enough good things about them. Then again in reading your signature as opposed to mine, we are definitely not into the same thing. I am in car audio to get loud, your signature indicates you like to actually listen to music so I don't think Power Acoustik would suit your tastes. I guarantee you this much, if your electrical system is supplying proper voltage to a A3000Db you will be very close to 3000 watts.

You are very right. I was skeptical of Power Acoustik at first. I mean it was pretty cheap. But then when i finally got my first sub and amp. A2400db and 15"mofo. I became a firm believer and avid fan of them. Now i have an all power acoustik setup which is better than anything i ever imagined happening. I have become such an avid suppoter to the extent that i have become and authorized Power Acoustik Dealer.

That's probably why I'm so cheap, I started with a mostly PA setup, so now I'm expecting the same quality / price ratio with everything. Well, IA and Rainbow (hehe) have lived up to it. =p
