I have a Pioneer head unit and Clarion eq wired to the same positive wire and the same ground wire. I had recently installed an old Kenwood 2-channel amp to power 2 12'' Jensen Power subs. I wired the positive wire to the + battery and I grounded the amp to the chasis in my trunk. I also used the same turn on lead as the eq. I used the RCA cables from the eq to the amp. Now my problem is that when I turn the car on, the amp goes into protect mode after about 5 seconds of being on. I remember that I accidentally pushed the amp when putting the subs in, it knocked the ground wire loose and made a HUGE spark against the positive wire. Since that happened the headunit or eq will not turn on at all. I checked the fuses and they are fine and I smelt no burning or electrical fire at all. Can somebody please help!?
