i currently have what u c in my sig. 1 oa 15. I'm looking to upgrade my system, but don't have the room to fit 2 15's. so would 2 oa 12's on about 800w a piece (this is what the 15 is at) be louder? or a better question noticeably louder? ill be going with aeros ports this time. because I can't get more than 5.5 cubes internal inside my trunk. (unless I build the box inside which i am skeptical of)

So would this even be worth my while doing the 2 12's? or should i just try one beefy 15 instead?

thats what i was thinking. but I'm thinking about spending only 1k for the whole build. (box that id build, sub(s), and amp) and id need a h/o alt too... (different budget i guess) was thinking a new skar zvx 15 on about 2k. i want lows over spl. but doing good on the meter is always good. i wanna beat my 142.3 with this set up

I mean based on the fact you have a trunk car and the way it is setup in your pic I would say 2 12's. When the sub faces up in a trunk a lot of cancellation occurs, in turn making your setup less responsive and loud. If you can fit a 15 up on its side in the trunk then by all means just go with a beefy ass 15, if not get 2 12's. I went from my dc xl 15 to 2 eclipse ti 12's on the same amp and noticed quite a difference. I would go with a little bit better subs than oa 12's though, step it up to some 3inch coil 12's and you will be a happy mofo.
