Or has ebay gone insane with actually enforcing their rules lately?
I've never, ever, once had an auction taken down, or even gotten an e-mail concerning ebay's 'rules' (i never knew they had any when i got a $550 phone stolen from me via paypal, and was never issued a refund for a car-deal gone bad, i wont even get into how much that set me back, but let's just say i'm still in debt)
But in the last week or so, i've had an auction cancelled twice for the same item. I've been trying to sell my remote install beltronics Rx75 plus radar detector, because the one, sole place, that i wanted to mount it in my ride is an unmarked airbag //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and the thing's crazy expensive.
First, it was taken down without so much as an e-mail to explain. I had to write ebay an e-mail to find out what was up, and it turns out beltronics themselves ordered the auction be taken down because i used a stock photo, and not my own. So now already set back 5 days, i went to walmart, bought a new xD card for my camera, took a pic of the open box, with all the parts inside, and a piece of paper with my user name on it, and reposted.
Today it's been taken down again!!!! No explaination this time either, i have to write ebay another e-mail.
Now it's been over a week since i started trying to sell this stupid thing, and it looks pretty **** suspicious to would-be bidders when your auctions keep getting taken down and reposted.
Has anyone else run into snags lately trying to sell on ebay?
They used to practically go out of their way to HARBOR thieves and scammers, and now i can't manage to keep a legit, good-willed auction open for more than a few days without it being taken down.
Just curious if this is a widespread phenom lately?
