Is it bottoming out?

Yes, I know I have a cheap sub. Just wanted to make sure it's not bottoming out since I turned up my amp since it does no where near rated power.

doesnt sound like it. when you play it can you hear a tapping noise? should be fairly loud

Dosent Seem Like It To Me. Prolly Just Amp Clipping.

There is no tapping noise, but there is a decent amount of excursion (camera didn't catch it all) which made me wonder. Thanks for the help.

not bottoming out, you could clearly hear the VC hitting the back plate if it were.
