Is Car Audio Alive and Well?

As an owner of a car audio related website, I've noticed a decline in the usual DIY type questions we were use to. Is this because there are less DIY type people and they are just getting it done professionally or is it the car audio Fad is fading?

It has to be completely ecomonmy related.....no one NEEDS a loud system so they use that money on more important stuff...

Its all hobby/leisure markets that are slow right now. I'm trying to sell my motorcycle and that market is straight dead. Maybe I shouldn't have spent so much on audios :/

ya, its hard to sell used items let alone new items right now. Ebay is muffed right now, you can almost steal anything off their right now if you have money.

While sales have gone down for us we have been getting ALOT of calls about repairs lately... Guess that's right in line with people not having the money to buy new stuff so they are wanting us to repair their old stuff. It's all good.

I learned by trial and error and plenty of homework.

I love to rattle people's windows and annoy the elderly....it means I'm doing somehting right. That and my car doesn't sound like a coffin of nails sitting on top of a old washing machine.

Do you have any refurbs in stock at the moment.....you were out of the older sundown sae-1000(may be wrong on the model) a few weeks ago.

There is 1 SAE-1000D availible with 7-10 day wait, you buy it and we will order it from Sundown and when it gets here (in 3-4 bus days usually) we will fix it and ship it to you. But no right now the only thing we have "in stock" is a SAX-100.2. There are 4 SAZ-3000D's avail in 7-10 days also. Things are so slow or we would have purchased them and had them here in stock right now. Was all good in October, but since the election not much sales. Either everyone spent their money on campaign contributions or Halloween or maybe now since the results of the election have been done everyone is using all their extra money to stock up on guns? I don't know I saw that on the news. Gun sales are VERY much on the up right now while everything else has slumped. Too bad dB-r doesn't sell guns....

Email me tommorow, as I will be out of town for part of Fri-Sun. I will have my laptop and internet access with me though so I can still process orders and communicate with customers, so even if you wait till Friday I can still get you taken care of, just may not be an "instant" response.

You would think with Gas prices being below $2.00 per gallon right now people would have extra funds for Car Audio stuff, but maybe not, Christmas is right around the corner now.... Maybe people are just saving for Christmas gifts. Hard to believe the year is almost over already...
