is a RF 1500BD good for 2RF Pow HX2?

I Don't know what to buy, I don't want to spend more than $700dlls on the amps for my subs, so what should I buy?? I don't want to buy the amps on the net and the cheapest prices i have found in San Diego are these:

JBL 1200.1 $349.99

SONY GSD1600 $300

RF 1000BD $450

RF 1500BD $550 Do you think that the 1500BD will do it, or should I look for more?

Note: my subs are 1000w rms 2000w peak.

what's up....

you can't run them with the sony cause sony will only give you 1200 watts at 1 ohms and this would only be 600 watts a sub. The 1500bd runs at 2 ohms (1 sub) @ 1500 watts rms and 4 ohms (2 subs) @ 750 watts rms ...so you will need two jbl's or two 1000bd's, if those are gonna be your choice. The power hx series are 2 ohm speakers and have to be run 2 ohms single or 4 ohms wired in series or 1 ohm wired parallel and if you run them paired, the amp has to be able to put out 2000 watts rms at 4 ohms or 1 ohm or....... 1000 watts *2 rms@ 2ohms to push them properly........get it......I hope this helps ya.

The amp will get the job done but they coud take one of those on each sub, from what I have heard, but there are less and less RF fans here every day

But I was thinking about putting 2 sonys, not just 1, do you think is worth it? and whats the rms at 1ohm

You could do it with 2 sony's.....you would have to wire the woofers in parallel....

this would give you a 1 ohm load for the sony and 1200 watts rms, just what you're looking for.

Better get a fan for those amps......good luck
