is a 145.9 good for 1 15" ?

i dont doubt it. Ithis weekend i saw 4 PR12s hit a 155 in a rex off 2400 watts

i actually seen him at the USAudio dbdrag a few weeks ago...that sub was stinking and only managed a 139. Kinda pitifully when a guy there running street A did 153 off of 2 DD 10s....in a CRX

ok to answer a few question

the first box i did i took at it was causeing cancellation so i built a new one,, wen i went to md for the sound comp i had the old box, and i used some one old *** dd sub just so i can get points,, the guy who did a 155 with 2 10,, well hes been in the industry for 6 years,, studying audio.

i workded at unique,, never used a jbl 6000..

also my old set up which was 2 12" jbl mkll one one jbl bpx 2200.1 which i gave about 800 to each sub did a 142.2 car off check term pro.. i know it was the box,, im not an expert ,, and i dont have 8 hrs aday to play with a box, i live on my own work part time an go to a job and college so i try to make best with wut i have,, no its not walled hopefully i cleared everything up

For a 15 with that much power thats a little low. I hit 144.9 in the trunk of a Grand Prix with 2000 watts and DD 9512.

It is not a bad score. If your peaking in the low to mid 40's that is even better.

Most people dont know what 145db @ 40-45hz feels like. I dont put a whole lot of stock in TL #'s, for instance Crx's peak in the 65-70hz range it puts out a big # but it sounds like crap. Keep working on it, and get it loud in a listenable range that is what makes it a good score or not.

theres a video on realm of 4 12" sonys on a ma audio hk4000d does 156s in a crx!! So thats possible, there is a guy locally with three PR 12s on a PR1000.1 in a ported box, and in a trunk of a 2003 buick regal doing 143s on music

there is a guy also doing 143s with two 10" $50 a piece walmart pioneers and a pioneer walmart 760watt amp in a trunk of a dodge neon!!! What about that one, like $200 in the system!!

Thats not a terrible score for someone thats not very experienced and hasnt done any major tweaking to the setup......could be better but its a start. Now, if it was doing that on music I would say its not bad at all imo.

(A) This isnt a CRX.... and everyone knows its extemely easy to get them loud so it shouldnt even be getting compared to an accent hatch.

(B) That was the first time he ever ran the system and was having cancellation issues.

© the DD wasnt even his sub... it was on its last breath bc team BK had been using it for 10K+ burps

This is a new box now... dont know too much about it bc i havent seen rob since the md comp. But obviously he has some potential in the car if he can go from a 139 to a 145.9 just changing the box..

I feel if he had a different sub he would be doing much better and when he does get a chance to tweak it its gonna be pretty impressive for a single 15"

Im trying to get him to go to 2 12" subs so the power will be split up. I think that alone would get the numbers up. But heck give him a break... its a lot louder than what he had last year.. so as long as he is improving than that is a good thing. I have no doubt that he will get where he wants to be # wise.
