is 200 bucks enough for deadener for a 4dr car?

Id prolly just do the doors, roof, and trunk with most.

Hmmm, guess it depends on what brand you go with and what you wanna do with it...like loudness or SQ , cuz you could prolly do without the doors if youre just going for loudness

You can get 80sqft of Damplifier for 193 it says, id try that

Id use a bunch on the trunk lid and rear deck, and rest on roof

do it right spend a little more if you need to but here is what i would do

doors

trunk lid and trunk deck

trunk

floors inside cabin for road noise

left over on roof.

get raam mat and get 2 roles of it pretty close to your budget.

this is exactly, or close to how i would put it.

and i'm getting that deadener also, with the same 200 dollar budget.

I just bought 80ft/sq of damplifier. In my last build, on only had 32ft/cu and that was nowhere near enough. I only did trunk lid and around it (not even the trunk wheel pit). then i did the 2 front doors and a little on the rearseat walls. Front door didn't have enough.

This time around, I'll do trunk lid, trunk everywhere, front door alot, a little in on the big metal sheet on the two rear door. Then a little under the driver feet, passager feet and finally roof if i get some leftover. I'm not quite sure about the roof... does it cut wind noise alot or just rain?

Yes, Good luck...I had nearly 80SQft on my doors in my Mark VIII...
My car had over 150SQFT before I was done on it, and spent nearly 800 bucks on it in dampner.
you did everything or multiple layer?

I'll put multiple layer behind the front speakers and the lid and front door. You don't really gain from adding many layer with quality stuff. The ultimate deadening project truck must be sick tough

not too interested in doing the trunk because we are doing a rear deck port for a 4th order....no pressure in trunk.

so we are looking at doing the doors, roof and floor....

80 squares is enough?

whats the jazz on this liquid stuff?

oh for the spare tire.

nah im not doing any deadener in the trunk. there shouldnt be any pressure back there, and the seats dont fold down anyway, so i dont expect to have much of an issue with that.
