ipod with alpine 9843??

My buddy just gave me his alpine cde-9843 because he just got a new head unit. I stuck it into my 04 350z and I was wondering how i could get my ipod to work with the headunit other than using a fm transmitter? I had usa spec ipod converter for my stock headunit, but it doesnt work with the alpine. Does anyone know of any input converter or ipod plugs thingies i could use with the 9843?

CDE = almost nothing works with it. No sat radio, no HD, no BT, rarely iPod... Do it have a blue connector coming off of the back on it, looks like a square with a rounded corner?
